Somebody I used to work with once said that the only time she had slept with a mutual colleague of ours was during a screening of Belfast, Maine. That said, I was very pleased to see on Michael Tully’s blog that Wiseman’s films are now available for sale on DVD through the Zipporah Films website. Wiseman’s films are an amazing amalgamation of historical document and incredible scenes and characters. Many of them are also a meticulous exposure of the many nuances of injustice and inequality. Looking at the Zipporah website I realize that there are lots of his films I haven’t yet seen so I am looking forward to some Wiseman movie marathons this Winter.
