I used to buy Freixenet at Sainsburys in London because it always seemed to be on sale and it looks a bit posh. Now I realize I was buying it because it is imbued with Hitchcockian glamor and intrigue. Watch this Scorcese-made film/ad to see what I mean. I have to admit I got quite caught up in it. And for some reason it makes me want to drink sparkling Spanish wine. Weird that. Now I just have to work out how to pronounce it!
