Somebody has a lot of time on their hands!
Hello from ant1mat3rie on Vimeo.
You have to admit that this fake trailer is right on the money about certain British film tropes. “Is this film going to batter audiences over the head with a message of social injustice?” Meanwhile I’m waiting with bated breath for the results of Lord Smith’s review of UK government film policy on Monday. I do hope it is more nuanced than Cameron’s simplistic demand that the film industry should support “commercially successful pictures.” As Ben Blaine pointed out, this…

I hadn’t heard of Raghava KK before I watched this TED Talk yesterday but now I’m a huge fan. I love the idea of shaking up your perspective by shaking an iPad. Haptic change! Could be a whole new social movement!
I am a die-hard Apple fan so, along with the rest of the Twittering classes, I was swept up in yesterday’s news about Steve Jobs stepping down. Today I have been thoroughly enjoying this video archive gem: PS. This was the computer I wrote all my essays on in my last year at university. Do I win some old school points?
I love Steve Lambert’s playful, politically charged work and his THE MOST AWKWARD 404 NOT FOUND PAGE ON THE INTERNET is no exception. Watch it. Revel in it. Happy Birthday To You!
I feel like I never get enough time to watch enough of the short films that Shooters upload – but I had to go through a whole bunch of them recently for an event I am curating and I kept discovering really good films I’d previously missed. I thought I’d embed some of my favorites here so you can watch them too. Needless to say they’re not all safe for work. Bats & Balls from jamie jones on Vimeo. W.O.W.…
Upload your films now. There’s some really great stuff on the leaderboard already – check them out and “like” your favorites. Let’s show Mr Cave the very best of Shooting People!
I met Yoni Bloch at SXSW – he cracked me up with hilarious stories but I didn’t fully understand how talented this guy is. Yoni is a delightful musician/geek hybrid who has developed software called Interlude that allows you to create interactive videos. I recently checked out an example of what this software does and I’m impressed – it’s a pretty seamless choose-your-own-adventure video experience. Check it out: www.yonibloch.co.il/pretendtobehappy/
