<p>I hadn&#8217;t heard of <a href="http://www.raghavakk.com/" target="_blank">Raghava KK</a> before I watched this <a href="http://www.ted.com/talks" target="_blank">TED Talk</a> yesterday but now I&#8217;m a huge fan. I love the idea of shaking up your perspective by shaking an iPad. Haptic change! Could be a whole new social movement!</p>

<p>And now I have discovered Aaron Koblin, an artist and programmer who does really amazing and thought provoking things with data. It&#8217;s really worth watching <a href="http://creativity-online.com/news/cat-video-the-wizard-of-data-art/138324" target="_blank">his presentation at CaT</a> where he runs through some of his projects, from Flight Patterns to The Sheep Market to Bicycle Built for Two Thousand. Aaron&#8217;s <a href="http://www.aaronkoblin.com/" target="_blank">website</a> has links to his work so definitely check it out.</p>
<p>By the way, O&#8217;Reilly have just published a book called <a href="http://oreilly.com/catalog/9780596157111/#top" target="_blank">Beautiful Data</a> which looks really great.</p>

This is our video republic, our commons, our future.</p>
<p>With regards to copyright, watch this TED video from last year in which Lawrence Lessig, a well-known expert on copyright issues, explains his vision for reconciling creative freedom with marketplace competition.<br />
