Irresisible films.com "Jason Wingard is taking the world by storm with his impactful short films, which is why Irresistible are buzzing with rapture to add him to our pool of directors! Earlier this year, Jason won the Grand Prize in the 2011 Virgin Media Shorts for his film '2:20'; ominously dictating the lead character's fate, along with having two further films shortlisted in the 2011 Reed Film Competition. Merely a year ago, he snapped up the 2010 People's Choice Award in the very same V.M.S Competition, with his film 'Bus Baby'; capturing an incessant paranoia and lacing it with a touch of humour. Recently, he has been working alongside BBC Comedy North - a blast from the past, having worked as a stand-up comedian in Manchester in the late nineties; finishing runner up in the North-West Comedian of the Year to Justin Moorhouse and Alan Carr. Crediting his timing and eye for performance down to his stint in comedy, Jason is in no way a one trick pony, showing great range and versatility in his film making. He has directed three pilots, including a panel show with Warwick Davis, and is currently developing his first feature film working alongside the BFI. Jason's repertoire is ever-growing and we are excited to have him join the team!" |
