Resources / Expertise: I've been writing shorts and features for the best part of six years and have been developing other people's ideas within this time also. My main genre of interest is Drama, though I tend not to limit myself within the institutionalised realm of genre and opt toward a style which ranges from realism to abstract & minimalism. I also lean towards a subversive element within my writing but I appreciate that this also may not necessarily be appropriate when developing clients' script ideas. I have also been Directing my own short films for five years and plan to continue developing my work in this field and in the field of Digital Photography. Most recently I worked in the medium of Documentary and wrote a script for a programme called 'Iraq: What's Next?' for the Islam Channel. "Michael was a great help and a valuable assest to the team, helping our documentary by giving our footage a balanced and informative voice!"- Aziz (Producer of Iraq: What's Next?) All my work is written with Final Draft.
