| Films I wish I had made |
Got no time for that. I have plenty of my own projects to make! |
| I cried watching |
Not the crying type, but was wowed by LotR, original Star Wars Trilogy, Amelie, Wall-E, Cracker, Paris Je T'Aime, Jonathan Glazer's body of work, The Dark Knight... and so it goes on. |
| I left the cinema during |
Never. I think a movie can only be judged in its entirety. In hindsight, I WISH I had left during King Arthur, Spider-Man 3, Slumdog Millionaire (you heard me!). |
| Directors I love |
Usual suspects - Spielberg, Coppola, Nolan, John Lasseter, Jean-Pierre Jeunet. Pretty standard fare. |
| Actors I admire |
Gary Oldman, Johnny Depp, Sir Ian McKellen, Dame Judi Dench, Helen Mirren, Christopher Lee, Robert Redford, Paul Newman, Heath Ledger, Sue Johnston... many! |
| Writers I respect |
Hmm... I'll get back to you. Needless to say the writers of "I cried watching..." |
| My desert island discs |
Most of REM's body of work, The Delays, Bloc Party's Weekend In the City (and ONLY WitC!), Doves, Elbow, Paul Simon, Jethro Tull, Joni Mitchell, Meatloaf, The Who. Evidently this desert island would need to have a record shop. Also the work of Thomas Newman, John Williams, James Newton Howard, Hans Zimmer, Howard Shore and the rest... |
| Books I have given my friends |
The last book I gave someone was Alan Moore's "League of Extraordinary Gentlemen" Volume One. Prior to that, Catcher In The Rye (twice), The Great LIFE Photographers, Cartier-Bresson's book. |
| My death row meal |
That's very morbid! But probably Pizza Express's D'oh Balls, or a Mocha Frappuccino. Maybe spare ribs. I think I'd have other things to worry about! |
| The best thing I own |
My camera. It's older than I am, and I love it! |
| More about me |
Boundless ambition, but enough procrastination to sink the Titanic. Once I get up to speed I'm self-powering, but need help to get there! |
