Originally trained as an artist and designer, Guy taught visual communication and aesthetics in higher education, whilst also studying for a second degree in English and Philosophy of Art. He began acting in 2001 after being "converted" to theatre by a trip to The Globe theatre in London in August of that year. Turning professional actor in 2007, he graduated from Birmingham School of Acting then also trained in Sam Rumbelow's Method Acting class in London during 2008. Since graduating Guy has toured London and the Home Counties playing Richard of Gloucester in Richard III, performed Chinese folks tales in Leicester, and played Santa Claus in Nottingham. In 2009 Guy performed in stage productions of King Lear, Huis Clos, The Importance of Being Earnest, and Taliswoman as well as taking roles in several short films. So far this year he has been cast in three short films, two of which are currently in production.
