Films I wish I had made: Lost in Translation, The Graduate, Let it Be, A Bug's Life.
I cried watching: Field of Dreams.
I left the cinema during: a brief spell in the summer of 1976 to sit my 'O' levels, and then again in 1981 to sit my Finals at Aston.
Directors I love: Sarah Walker, Sofia Coppola, Malachi Bogdanov, Mike Nichols. I hope 2 of them love me...
Actors I admire: Steve McQueen, Scarlett Johanssen, Kevin Costner, Jodie Foster.
My desert island discs: Room for Squares - John Mayer; No Roots - Faithless; Revolver - The Beatles; Close to the Edge - Yes; Hourglass - James Taylor.
Books I have given my friends: In the Blink of an Eye, Zen and the Art of Motorcycle Maintenance, Slaughterhouse 5, Notes from a Small Island.
