Stuart Perry has been writing ever since his short story ‘A Visit to the Dentist’ was published in his local Health Centre’s newsletter. He did not think to ask for a fee, as he was only eight years’ old at the time. Since then, as well as screenwriting, he has written for magazines, performed poetry on stage and television, and created and adapted plays for a children’s theatre group. Recently completed short ‘Lent’ won a place on the UK Film Council & Screen South’s Digital Shorts based solely on the strength of Stuart’s screenplay. It went to the Short Film Corner of Cannes 2007. He is currently working on many projects, including a feature screenplay Sold Out, and two radio plays. He lives in Hove, and likes watching TV, tomb-raiding for treasure in the scariest areas of the uncharted world, and telling blatant lies about his hobbies.
