Spiegel im spiegel

andy-blog3.jpgLast night’s party seems years ago, such is the intensity of festival life. But as hazy as it now is, I recall a superb night that was kicked off by the UKFC New Cinema Fund free drinks beano at the Dragonfly bar. Everyone homed in on it and I ended up surrounded by folks from the West Midlands.

Maybe we have a homing beacon type thing going on with each other.

Anyway, I met two delightful people who work with Skillset. Dan Simmons is their Campaigns Manager and is the person to write to if you haven’t got a response from anyone else at Skillset. And Michele Dillon is a coordinator who does belly dancing (and kept demoing her moves all night). I think we did a salsa dance together much later on, but I can’t be sure.

This is they:

I also had the pleasure of Sarah Bell and Urmala Jassell, both of whom live pretty close to me. I don’t know, you travel thousands of miles to meet new people and end up talking to folks who live round the bloody corner.

After drinking the Dragonfly dry we missioned across town to the Spiegeltent, which is a Germanic funfair type thing with lots of beer tents and cabaret goings on till the early hours and the safest bet for late (if expensive) drinking.

I took pictures.

After people remarked that there were none of me from last night, I made a point of getting my mush in shot. Well, you asked for it.

We got very very drunk. I didn’t make the 9am screening the next day.
