London Calling
Saturday, July 14th, 2007
I arrived in London yesterday and was immediately taken off to some electronic music something or rather at the Whitechapel Gallery which was actually a really good way to be forced to get over my jetlag. Right now I’m getting ready for my friend Ellie’s wedding but the slightly more film-relevant reason for me being here is to finish preparations for BRITDOC which is happening July 25-27. I’m producing The Surgery which gives filmmakers an awesome opportunity to have a one to one meeting with a series of experts including Ryan Harrington from A&E IndieFilms, Julie Goldman from Cactus Three and Diana Holtzberg from Filmstransit.
BRITDOC takes place at the beautiful Keble College in Oxford which makes me feel a bit like I am in the middle of a Harry Potter film. We even have a banquet in the Great Hall! And this year there is going to be a Shooting People pub quiz. Oh yes.
