Maroon Town are the recognised pioneers of this genre and boast in their line-up MC Rubi Dan (also part of the hugely "Heatwave" bashment/dubstep and reggae sound system) and Captain Ska whose searing indictment of the UK's political elite "Liar Liar" was a viral smash in December last year. "Watching the Trees" is a naggingly catchy ska lament with echoes of the band's original Jamaican influences as well as peers like Manu Chao and the Gorillaz.
