Born of Hope

About this film

Born of Hope is a prequel to the Lord of the Rings and is inspired by J.R.R. Tolkiens writings in the Appendices of the Trilogy. The story is set in the time before the War of the Ring and looks at the lives of the Dnedain before the return of the king and primarily focuses on the relationship between Arathorn and Gilraen, the parents of Aragorn. Inspired by only a couple of paragraphs written by Tolkien in the appendices of the Lord of the Rings we tell how Arathorn and Gilraen meet and follow their story until a two year old Aragorn goes to live in Rivendell.
