enjoyable historical perspective of the growth of communications technology, but some parts didnt work for me - like the rabbits analogy - he didnt own or create the rabbits in the first place so it doesnt really compare to controlling sales and distribution of created content.
So, the future is donation funded media creation? I cant see that working very well either in the long run.. Certainly food for thought on what the future may hold and has got me thinking...
very good documentary. Youtube is another example of powerful consumer/creator and self distribution. It's great realising that we are the beginning of a new era
I think drawing a parallel between censorship for political reasons centuries ago and outlawing piracy for commercial reasons today is a little tenuous - it does exist in countries who don't want ideas that threaten them but comparing that with someone ripping the new batman is just a political act in itself
