Getting There

About this film

I sometimes feel I spend most of my time getting to places. Whether it be on trains, bus or by car. Thinking about this, I started filming out of the window on the train journey from Liverpool to London on numerous occasions. Some still images and some footage, all on a digital stills camera. I had been playing with the idea of creating a small instillation work for a gallery space when i read about the Herzog competition. "mans relationship with nature" struck a chord and i realized I'm probably not alone in these traveling experiences. So i hope these images spark some inspiration for when you next to take a journey.
