    I hung out with a group of vampires on the Heath back in the mid nineties while on assignment for a news agency. They were gentle people with the most exquisite costumes. I enjoyed myself immensely. I've got the negatives behind me somewhere in my files. I might go and dig them out.

    This is a rather good little film about some strange people. Thanks for sharing.

Enter the underworld of Londons Vampire societies. With monthly meetings and rival groups what exactly do these individuals indulge in? Part romantic, goth, exhibitionists, cyber punk their definitions elude the common passer by. Lady Isis is a black witch, from a family of witches; she explains the thirst for these groups and the prejudice they have faced since the eighties. David is an occultist and, with Gareth his academic friend, they explore the dark realms and motivation behind the groups. Why do they dress like they are in a Hammer Horror film? Do they really drink blood? Are they aligned with satanic groups or are they just fantasists. This short documentary opens the lid on this secretive world and explores the real life vampires and their customs. Shot over a period of months the individuals opened up to me (the director) and as they become more comfortable with me they started to tell me things that I could not believe at first. They are an intriguing group of people from all walks of life and definitely worth a closer look.
