The Portobello Film Festival celebrates its 10th anniversary this year with a special visual arts extravaganza featuring two exhibitions, a Video Jockey Convention and work from leading video artists.
Running from 4th to 21 August the Festival is also the public?s first opportunity to see more than 500 brand new films ? mostly shorts from young directors - from all around the world, absolutely free?no admission is charged at any of the screenings.

The film features a powerful international cast, with the young talent JAMIE BELL (Billy Elliot) in the leading role as sharp-shooting pacifist Dick and BILL PULLMAN (Lost Highway, Independence Day) playing the local sheriff, Krugsby, who tries to maintain law and order. Dear Wendy - Post Production and Marketing Discussion
Mads Jorgensen from Mac Million Ltd. Will be giving a presentation on Digital film making and the film Dear Wendy on the 4th of August at the launch of the Portobello Film Festival. The talk will centre on the troubles and pleasures of doing the postproduction on the Film Dear Wendy. Mac Million is one of the forerunners of HD post-production in Europe and specialise in HD Features, Shorts, Promos, Commercials & News Items worldwide.
Henrietta Ludgate & Tom Grievson from Metrodome Distribution will give a talk on the promotion and marketing strategy's used for the film Dear Wendy.

At this years Portobello Film Festival Bowieart.com will be hosting, Anti-Antiques, a selection of films by the hottest young multimedia artists coming out of British art schools today. The collection of artists presenting work at the Westbourne Studios feature on BowieArt, David Bowie's art website that allows the online community direct access to the talents of young artists, giving them the exposure they deserve at an important time in their careers. Being current or recent graduates from top British colleges the BowieArt screening is sure to be a crowd puller and as with previous collaborations is sure to be a resounding success.
This year's highlights include new work by Erica Eyres, Anthony Gross and Naglaa Walker.
