My Work and Credits:

About: A spiritual journey taking us deep into the metaphorical 'garden' of consciousness, and exploring the roots of our belief systems. Join Oona and Crispin as they explain their way of life and share their philosophy. Starring and written by Antony Elvin and Alice Lowe.Directed by Jacqueline Wright.Shot exclusively in the spiritual vortex that is Kenilworth, in the Midlands.

Fun stuff:

Films I wish I had made:

Anything by Todd Solondz. Labyrinth. Lolita. The Dark Crystal. Charlie and The Chocolate Factory. Dr Strangelove. Christopher Guest stuff.

I cried watching:

Whistle Down The Wind. Every time. Kes. Manon Des Sources. That bit in Dr Zhivago. You know the bit.

I left the cinema during:

Changeling. Except I didn't I watched it all. 'Fuck you and the horse you rode in on.' That is an example of a line from it.
And 'Garden State'. What a lengthy device for getting a man into a shirt that is the same pattern as his wallpaper. Don't even get me started on that.

Directors I love:

David Lynch, Tim Burton, Werner Herzog, Steve Barron, Jim Henson, Lars Von Trier, Todd Solondz, Stanley Kubrick, Jane Campion, John Landis, Neil Jordan, David Lean, Hitchcock, Bergman, Powell & Pressburger, Terry Gilliam, early Mike Leigh... More than that. I'll remember them later tonight.

Actors I admire:

Julie Walters. Emily Watson, Cate Blanchett, Alison Steadman, Helena Bonham Carter, early Winona Ryder. Johnny Depp. Jenny Agutter. Paddy Considine. Gary Oldman. Tom Hardy. Malcom McDowell. Oliver Reed. Terence Stamp. Meryl Streep. Loads of em. 70s vintage often the best.

My desert island discs:

One big disc I could use as a raft. And a spare.

Books I have given my friends:

Books I don't like hence the giving away of them.

My death row meal:

I don't think I could eat anything. Maybe a yoghurt so I could try and dig my way out of the cell with the spoon.

The best thing I own:

A yoghurt spoon.
