The Space in Sound Symposium includes two days of talks exploring the different ways sound can occupy space.

On Thursday 17th September, sound designer Paul Davies will be in conversation with director Aneil Karia. On Friday 18th September, artist Haroon Mirza, scholar Dr Kersten Glandien and composer Dr Lucy Harrison will be discussing their relationships to sound. The talks offer an opportunity to discover ways in which sound appears in its physical, psychological, compositional, digital, electronic and analogue forms.

This is an event for artists, filmmakers, sound practitioners, musicians, architects, sound engineers and anyone interested in the creative possibilities of sound.
The Space in Sound is inspired by the former Lighthouse programme The Sound of Story, an exploration of sound, music and storytelling, that ran 2014-16.
