THE NEW SHOOTS ACTORS AWARDS ARE OPEN ✨
Prizes include mentorship with world-renowned casting director, Des Hamilton (Jojo Rabbit, This is England, High Life), Spotlight membership, self-tape equipment, cash and more career support goodies.
Since Shooting People launched in 1998, performers have always been an integral part of the community. The film industry has changed so much since then, and we feel it’s more important now than ever before to provide support to performers, who are often so under-appreciated by the industry. 12 performers will be awarded New Shoots prizes this year.
Entry is free for SP members, and for the duration of the New Shoots: Actors Awards, SP membership is reduced to 50% off for actors.
To enter, all you have to do is answer 4 quick questions.

NAVIGATING THE TV SERIES LANDSCAPE: TIPS FROM SUCCESSFUL DIRECTORS
Exciting news - we've just opened tickets for our next online masterclass!
Join us in conversation with two legendary TV directors, Charles Sturridge and Dawn Shadforth, as we explore the fascinating world of large-scale TV series. In this masterclass, we'll delve into the process of bringing a TV series to life, including creating a visual style, balancing storytelling with technical aspects, collaborating with actors, and the most challenging aspects of the work.
Charles Sturridge's award-winning work spans TV series and film, including Cobra and Churchill's Secret, while Dawn Shadforth has directed BAFTA-nominated shows I Hate Suzie and His Dark Materials, as well as iconic music videos for artists such as Kylie and Oasis.
General sale tickets are just £5* - however, we're also running an exclusive offer to bag a 4 month membership and ticket for just £10*. Join the SP community and dive straight in.
*excluding Eventbrite fees.
