Where should I post my short film?

6 years, 8 months ago - Anthony Sutcliffe

Hi all,

A couple of months back I posted an advert asking for a script for a short scene between two (or more) actors here on Shooting People. I got loads of great responses and selected one from writer Jon Benoy and went on to make that into a film. I've just launched it on youtube and kindof wanted to post about it on shooting people as a way of saying thanks to the community for helping it to happen (and also for shameless self-promotion purposes!).

Is there a place on the bulletin where these things can be posted?
In case you're interested, you can see the film here: https://youtu.be/VEzRmXdnxLo

Thanks very much,
Anthony

Hi Anthony

As one of the people who sent you a scene to film, I have to say congratulations. I see why you chose Serial Cheat - a tight, well-written, funny and self-contained story. I didn't see the joke coming, and just when I thought it couldn't be milked for more, it found a new layers. I loved her line about Darryl!

The cinematography was unobtrusive, leaving the actors to expose their characters, which they did brilliantly. I liked their repressed Englishness, and their understated emotioins making it even funnier. Nice choice of music too.

Well done to everyone involved (and if you ever want anything darker, please get back to me!).

And thanks Glyn! Thank you for taking the time to post your response to the film, it’s much appreciated. I’m glad you enjoyed it. And yes, I’ll be in touch if I’m looking for something that’s more your style!
