    Yeah, I don't get what the point of this is. If you cut out the middle section with the family, it doesn't change the story at all. Why the note is illegible is clear from the opening. Is the poignancy in that the girl doesn't realize who it is? Presumably, she'll be creeped out when she sees him walking around without a finger. I just don't see how "retarded" becomes "poignant."

    I think the above Shooter misses the point - this has a clear enough ending, yet very subtley spelt out - loved it. Nice one.

    Great Premise - great idea - then falls into that 98% of failing for all short films - no real ending. Therefore another truly great idea condemned to the question why have a great start then demonstrate real potential to the throw it away at the end ?
