_________

Radical ska and rap collective, Maroon Town, return with a stark commentary on the way we are systematically choking up the planet - and ourselves. Maroon Town are the recognised pioneers of this genre and boast in their line-up MC Rubi Dan (also part of the hugely "Heatwave" bashment/dubstep and reggae sound system) and Captain Ska whose searing indictment of the UK's political elite "Liar Liar" was a viral smash in December last year.

"Watching the Trees" is a naggingly catchy ska lament with echoes of the band's original Jamaican influences as well as peers like Manu Chao and the Gorillaz.

The band say : " In our rush for growth, our insatiable appetite to consume we are plundering nature and starving the planet of vital nutrients that are critical to our survival. We either confront this or stick our heads in the sand like an alcoholic who drowns himself in booze to forget. Its our choice.... "
