About the film:

An entry for the 48hr Film Challenge in London, September 2011. After getting a category we really didn't want (Musical/Western) we took pot luck in the wild card selection. Which gave us Silent Movie. Ah. Thinking caps on, the team came up with a huge volume of ideas in a short space of time. It all distilled into a comment on how we would communicate now, as opposed to how silent movies communicated back in the day, and how we're all slightly disconnected from reality as we communicate more and more through virtual portals. Hence the use of a QR code, a 'reality TV' game and the resultant title- Quick Release.
