About the film:

Macbeth has been an understudy throughout all his life. Now, almost 40, he is once again hidden in the shadow of the great actor Mr Duncan. Marion, his lover, urges him to take on the leading role by other means. Macbeth does not lack ambition bur rather the determination to do what is necessary. While in rehearsals, he meets three mysterious men who foretell his imminent success. This is the sign he was waiting for. Restored with new confidence he can finally commit the deed and take his place on the stage...
