A Ripple in the water

From Stewart Dugdale

About the film:

A Ripple In The Water is a short film based loosely on the true events of Operation Mincemeat, a cunning plan devised by British Intelligence to fool the Nazis during WWII.

Our story takes thematic elements from the true story of Operation Mincemeat and is a re-imagining; moving the setting to a rural French farmhouse.

Our protagonist, William, a British Intelligence Officer is dropped into France and tasked with a mission that could change the course of the war.

His mission is made more complicated by the relationships that rapidly develop with Isabelle, a farm girl, and her Father. In order to complete his mission, William is left with a stark realisation that someone on the farm will have to sacrifice their life.
