The Memory Palace

From Mät King

About the film:

Work and motherhood are often seen as mutually exclusive. The Memory Palace pushes this notion to one side to show how being a mother and an artist can not only inform one another but can also take inspiration from one another.
Work created by artist Maxine King would not be the same without her family. The Memory Palace is a series of interconnecting sculptures that draws inspiration from not only the natural environment and found objects but also her children.
