Unemployed and in the worst recession for decades Dan is forced to spend Christmas eve at an interview role-play session.
If he doesn't get the job then he must break a promise to his daughter and an unexpected letter from the past reminds him where that road leads.
As he returns for a quiet night with his family he gets an unexpected visitor who might just make things even worse… or better?
