About this film

A romantic comedy about the ludicrous games we play in the pursuit of love. The bitter sweet thrill of the romantic chase plays out over the course of an evening where drinks flow, looks are missed and quips are misunderstood.

Now where have I seen that film set before? Beautifully painted and dressed - just needed the right script. Fabby

    Thanks Matt,
Some valid points, I wouldn't say beholden to soundtrack choices but I guess there is always potential for a leaner cut!

Excellent performances and timing - the first half is masterfully awkward and funny, and some lovely touches like the fridge full of beer, the pre-set scrabble game, and the hints of OCD. I felt the film lost it's way a little once they get into the scrabble game: the film seems to become beholden to the soundtrack choices. I think there's probably a nicer edit possible in there by keeping up with the great comic pacing and handling of the first half, rather than it becoming a montage around the music.

Charming and a very nice depiction of british social awkwardness. Good work.
