Five stars. I knew where it was going quite early, but the performances were really good and it was moving. The shock cut was super.

BEN HYLAND

Thanks Jeremiah. The actors were fantastic. The film was part of a 60hr film challenge and I had worked with them both before. The shock cut was a lot of fun to shoot.

I'm really impressed. The sound work was great too. So many films have audio shocks. But this one was part of the whole, it belonged. Really good work.

Well done and all the best!

Great stuff, as the gentleman above stated I knew where it was heading early on but I don't believe the intention was to swerve the audience, but to show the powerfully emotional connection between the two characters. I worked with Adrian very early on when I first started out, great to see him on screen. Great performances by both actors, loved the cinematography and the colour grade. Well done to you and your crew. :-)

Alexander Milo Bischof

Great film! Best of luck, Ben!

BEN HYLAND

Thanks everyone for voting and the kind words. I'll ensure all cast and crew read everything.

Really nice work from all. I'd be interested to see a cut where we don't see the driver of the car - to hold off the reveal until "it wasn't 88" perhaps. Though as has been said already, it didn't *need* a twist element. Only other crit is that the end tiles come crashing over that final moment - was there a time restriction? If not it would be much kinder to your audience and script if you let that final shot play out and cut on the sound FX - then put the credits up! Super jarring as it is. But great work

BEN HYLAND

Thanks Matt. It was made as part of a 60hr film challenge so there was an opposed 5 minute limit. After refining the edit and getting as tight as we could the credits had to sit on the final shot.
