Laurent has grown up living on the estate flats as the son of the landlord. His father Christian has spent his life buying out ex council estate flats and renting them out to immigrants. Laurent wants to escape the yoke of his father's business, but his father seems intent on dragging him in.
When Laurent mistakenly hires an ex convict, he soon ends up under the man's spell and finds out that there are no free rides in life.
