UK Jewish Film has launched a new fund for three dramatic short films (15 minutes each) aimed at teenagers, exploring British Jewish identity. Each film will receive a production budget of £25,000, with a ring-fenced fee for the director and producer. The completed films will premiere at the UK Jewish Film Festival in November 2026 and be part of the Changing Perspectives schools programme.

The Northern Heart Doc Fund is currently accepting applications for its 2025-2026 scheme, aimed at supporting two emerging documentary filmmakers from working-class backgrounds in the North of England. The theme for this year is Class & Climate, and applicants must propose an idea for a short documentary (up to 10 minutes) to be made within six months. Each winner will receive a £3,000 grant, mentoring, post-production support from Sticks & Glass, and an industry pass to Sheffield DocFest 2025, where their film will also be screened in a cinema at Leigh Film Factory. Additional support includes participation in industry masterclasses and wellbeing services through Film in Mind
