The New Shoots: Filmmakers Awards are open now until 30 September ????

SUMMER PARTY RECAP
A big THANKYOU to everyone who came along to SP’s Film Networking Party with the inspiring and awesome JIJO.
JIJO shared innovative ways to get funding from different places, the importance of treatments and how to do those, tips on ethical documentary filmmaking and ways to keep an independent production company afloat. Members can listen to the full talk on SP.

- At the Grierson Trust Awards, a remarkable 78 shooters worked on nominated films, showcasing an incredible range of work from shorts and features to political reporting and reenactments. A special shoutout to Bobi Wine: The People's President, which received dual nominations for Televisual Best Current Affairs Documentary and Best Cinema Documentary.
- Congratulations to the 2 shooters films have been shortlisted for the Iris Prize's Best British Short, Rage Consumes Me (dir. Felix Waverley-Hudson) is a poetic and provocative exploration of being non-binary in today's society and G Flat (dir. Peter Darney) which meets an 84-year-old stroke survivor whose hired a sex worker which all leads to an ... unexpected climax.
