Producer for my Oscars Run 2026!!! Like me, you may think a crack at the Oscars is the holy grail adventure of a lifetime. Join me on my second attempt at taming Goliath! Premise: Whilst employing shady tactics to help Amara gain citizenship, can Athena grasp a rare chance for redemption? Genre: Drama. Run time: 12-15 mins. Some may remember my epic journey with writer/director Chris Jones as we blazed a monumental festival run and were shortlisted for the Oscars in 2009. So, here's the deal. I'm selling some of my camera gear to raise money for the production of my master's thesis short film, 'ATHENA' (Working title). This will pay for great catering and the insurance. At the moment, I'll be looking for Brighton-based crew as I will be shooting come hell or high water, for 5 days, June 9-13th. (However, if it makes budgetary sense to shoot in London, happy to do that). If you're interested in any of the positions, please realise that, at this stage, all I can do is feed you well and that's all. Hence local crew. Plus, of course, that coveted IMDb credit to be added to the listing here: https://www.imdb.com/title/tt35889203 - NB - It still has the old title HOME OFFICE until I have settled on a new title. I am an experienced producer, but I'm looking for a pro-active producer to come on board so that I can focus on writing/directing. You will get sole producer credit. I have pre-production, production, and post-production plans in place and two preliminary draft budgets. The budget is currently £ 1,500 minimum. This is enough to feed the crew and insurance for a five-day shoot. Everything else is beg, borrow, steal. I'm looking for a producer that can: 1 - work with me at this budget level 2 - work with me to raise further funds from friends/family and make a BFI funding application https://ivansfilmjournal.wordpress.com/wp-content/uploads/2025/03/budget-home-office-small-crew-catering-only.xls - DEADLINE 25th March!!!. I'd prefer this to be private equity funding, but if you can bear the nightmare of the BFI, or any other, funding process, fill your boots. You'll need to demonstrate previous projects you have brought in on schedule and on budget. I'm looking for a skeleton crew and possibly more depending on how much extra I can raise.
