LOGLINE:
Traumatised by her daughter's death a young woman takes retribution, but is conflicted by her faith and driven to extreme measures.
SYNOPSIS:
Anna Savchenko is a paramedic and single mother living in the Ukrainian capital Kyiv.
Tragedy strikes when her daughter is killed in a car accident and the driver Eduard Bibilov escapes prosecution. Devastated by the loss, Anna rejects Bibilov's blood money and finds solace in her religious faith.
In an unexpected twist Bibilov suffers a heart attack and Anna's ambulance responds to the call. The businessman requires immediate medical attention, but Anna is torn by her emotions. Desperate to avenge her daughter's death, she ignores the Hippocratic oath and withholds treatment.
Bibilov dies in his bed and Anna struggles to reconcile her actions. Again she turns to the church for support, but this time there is no confession and no forgiveness. A mortal sin has been committed, innocent lives destroyed, and Anna will carry that burden for the rest of her life.
