HEART OF NEON
About:
HEART OF NEON is the feature documentary about legendary video game designer Jeff Minter and his development company Llamasoft. For decades Jeff has been a pioneer indie game design, either as a solo developer, or in more recent years with programming partner Ivan Zorzin. The Llamasoft story parallels the emergence and ultimate dominance of the home video game entertainment industry, and as such Jeff Minter has a very unique perspective on the business of video games. How does an independent video game developer not only survive but thrive in an industry that treats the talent that makes games as interchangeable and disposable? Llamasoft is the embodiment of digital artistic endeavour and of doing what you love against the odds. This is a story that celebrates every independent creative artist, writer or programmer who has experienced the struggle of working on the fringe.
