About:
Made in Romania was my debut feature as a screenwriter. The movie is a comedy 'mockumentary' about independent filmmaking... in Romania. It stars Jason Flemyng, Jennifer Tilly and Joe Shaw, with cameos from Elizabeth Hurley and Danny Huston.
After supplying the screenplay the director thought it would be savvy casting to offer me the role of the underpaid, underappreciated screenwriter - I put my heart and soul into it!
We shot for a week at Shepperton, then spent seven weeks in darkest Romania before heading off to LA for the final month. I'm very pleased with the results - though I'd love it to get a wider distribution.
