Surely there must be a Producer for me out there!

Hi Fellow-Filmmakers!

I am a filmmaker/writer who is aiming to make at least 1 film and 1 TV Series per year. To accomplish all of this I am still looking forward to meeting the perfect producer/collaborator (i.e. a Lawrence Bender, Scott Mosier etc etc). Needless to say, I have several projects/scripts in different stage of development.

I would like to start this collaboration with one good short film first (I have a couple of scripts ready to go). Ideally you would be based in London UK.
Please check some of my shorts. These should give you an indication of my versatility as a writer/director. Here we go:

Respect 101 (thriller):

Happy Birthday My Dear (drama):

8 Ships on Your Shelter (sketch comedy):

Runners (teaser trailer for a comedy that I wrote in 2007 but wasn’t made because of timing. Too many similar comedies with similar themes/storylines were produced then):

I am very persistent and I will find YOU! Otherwise you can find me by shooting an email on please do send examples of your work.

  • Thanks Gary! Unfortunately right at the moment I am looking for somebody with experience. I am a professional TV editor by trade and I made a number of short films as a writer/director. I need somebody that has a 'certain' body of work. Before I leave I'd like to say that I appreciate very much your nice message. Max S

  • I have seen different short films and am impressed.
My partner is a film editor, music film composer and we have some capital, therefore my question.

  • Gary! Would you like to send me an email on I could send you two of my most recent short scripts. I'd like to turn one of the above into solid films to send to good festivals. so let's see how we may go with this. What do you think?

  • Thanks,Max.
Will write to you, however what is essential is the required budget.

  • Gary.

I guess that the budget depends on the project/s. The two short films that I would like to make could be made with a budget between 2000 or even 5000 pounds. It's just up to whatever we have already in place (actors, equipment and facilities, locations etc etc).

I have made short films with my own money so far and yet right now I was looking for somebody to team up who could help me to get private and/or government funding. Using your own money and funding could be counterproductive in the long term for different reasons that I don't have the time to explain in a message in this platform.

    Your thoughts?
