In association with the London Short Film Festival, a Preview of THE SEVERED SUN with its director Dean Puckett in conversation with LSFF Artistic Director Philip Ilson, plus the short film HAMMER OF THE WITCHES.
THE SEVERED SUN is the feature debut of director Dean Puckett — a haunting British folk horror set deep within a world of faith, fear, and folklore. Produced by Rebecca Wolff (Grasp the Nettle Films) and Jude Goldrei (Lunar Lander Films), the film had its world premiere at Fantastic Fest 2024.
Magpie lives in an isolated church community, ruled with absolute authority by her father, The Pastor. When a man is murdered, paranoia grips the congregation, and whispers spread of a mysterious “Beast” said to haunt the surrounding forest.
