The Recovery Street Film Festival is a powerful celebration of storytelling through film - crafted by those whose lives have been touched by addiction. Whether you’re in recovery, supporting a loved one, or working in the field, this is your platform to share your journey, insight, or hope.

Each year, the festival invites raw, honest, and creative short films (1–3 minutes) that capture real experiences of recovery and transformation. No fancy equipment or filmmaking background is needed—just a story that matters, told from the heart.

For 2025, the theme is Creative Healing - an invitation to explore how creativity can support recovery. Think music, movement, poetry, painting, photography, film, or theatre - however you express it, this is your chance to show how art can help us heal.

Selected films will be showcased across the UK and online, sparking conversations and challenging stigma through the power of personal narrative. The top three winners will be announced on Saturday September 27th at our Awards Ceremony at the London Screen Academy, followed by an alcohol free after party by Sober Events UK.
