Join us for a powerful night of Syrian embodied resistance at our first 2025 screening in London, showcasing four films from the Wujoud Collective. In collaboration with British-Lebanese filmmaker Mario Hamad, the evening explores the intersection of militant and expanded cinema as a form of resistance against the erasure of Syrian narratives amidst the ongoing conflict. The films, which include intimate, unsettling, and participatory elements, address the lived experiences of Syrian activists, highlighting the political significance of wujoud (presence) as a praxis of resistance. The event also features tea, light snacks, and a space for collective reflection and resistance.
