Having recently lost her twin sister to suicide, helen daniels is sent to a remote english cottage to rest and recuperate by her uncle. upon arrival she meets a few locals who befriend her. she describes her difficult childhood growing up in new york and gradually, having won her trust, she is drawn into a world of witchcraft, paganism and mythological beasts.
