I HATE THAT is the fifth film in this series of shorts about the challenges we face in attempting to bridge the divides that separates us one from another and from ourselves. I have been fortunate to work with a wonderful group of actors over the course of these five films. This film is a reflection of the progress made from that working relationship. I was interested in exploring a small group dynamic and filming it in an intimate style. I am particularly happy with how this film was staged and how the flow of interaction is communicated. I am especially grateful to my actors for the comedic sensibilities they brought to the story. We found a nice groove and worked it.
