Posies is set in 1665 and tells the story of a group of siblings and their struggles during the time of the Black Death. The characters and events are imagined, although the dramatic context has been inspired by the Derbyshire ‘plague village’ of Eyam. It’s a blend of history and drama – taking inspiration from films such ‘The Road’, ‘Grave of the Fireflies’ and ‘Let the Right One In’ to tell a story of lost innocence and survival.
