Before people in Ireland can dream of setting foot on the big stages of the Abbey or Gate Theatre's, they need staging grounds such as The New Theatre. For 22 years it has provided opportunities for emerging Irish writers, directors, actors, set designers and lighting technicians. Over 360 plays were produced since the Theatre first opened its doors in 1997.
