A young nurse becomes increasingly consumed by the pressures of social media and society’s obsession with diet and gym culture. As she strives to meet impossible standards, her routine becomes rigid and isolating - cutting her off from those around her.

The Weight of It is a powerful short film written by actor Sarah Hosford, directed & edited by Kilian Pettit & produced by Ysabel Pheifer. All originally from Ireland but based in London.

Drawing from her own experience throughout her twenties, Sarah wrote this film as a deeply personal reflection on the silent battles many face. With this project, she hopes to help others find support.

The cast led by Sarah Hosford includes Yazzmin Newell (Series Regular in AMC’s Moonhaven), Sam Woodhams (Mickey 17 opposite Robert Pattison), Jackie Pulford (Wednesday on Netflix) and Ethan Chapples (Downton Abbey).
