Yumyum is the gang leader of a group of street kids in Kenema, Sierra Leone. Paul is the child protection officer trying to get those same children off the streets. Both were given video diary cameras to record the lives of street youth. I thought Yumyum would use his for a couple of days and then sell it but 100 hours of footage later and it has become his identity. He has recorded every detail of their lives, sometimes harsh and shocking but it is a brutal existence. Paul set about recording all the disenfranchised children he could think of before he died so his footage has become part of a separate film Rock Bottom
