If you could be part of a current TV show or online series, what would it be and why?

Its just finished but I would of loved to have worked on The Good Place, the self proclaimed smartest dumbest show on TV. The writing, directing and performances were all brilliant and It looks like a hoot to work on it. For a current British made show, I would love to have a role in Sex Education. It has a young talented team behind it telling great forward thinking, heartfelt stories with a great ensemble cast. Looks fantastic too.

Which film got you hooked on film and why?

The Lord of the Rings trilogy was amazing, because I loved the book and they didn't screw up adapting it for cinema.

A View to a Kill (1985) - fuck being a bond girl, the villain is where it’s at!

"The Mandalorian". I love it because it's a fresh take on an old favourite that's full of actual surprises, characters I care about and flashes of inspired comedy. It reimagines science fiction as a spaghetti western, seamlessly blending the two genres. It's attracted a stellar cast and amazing directors, who make each episode their own. It meshes state-of-the-art technology with traditional physical effects to create an all-encompassing universe that I really want to experience in the flesh. And this may be a throwback to my childhood, but I would really love to work with Baby Yoda. In fact he's displaced Kermit the Frog as my favourite small green puppet and not just because he made Werner Herzog cry.

I would love to be a part of Watchmen! It was my favourite series that premiered last year by far. The way the creators weaved such an intricate story with colourful characters and a fresh dose of history and social awareness was mind-blowing. In addition, each main actor had room to tell their own part of such an amazing story. It's such a gift as an actor to have that time to play, and yet it still blended perfectly with the wider story and message. Brilliant.

If you could be part of a current TV show or online series, what would it be and why?

'Last Tango in Halifax' is the only mainstream TV show I can think of where female actors in their late 40s/early 50s take centre-stage. I absolutely love the role of Gillian, played by Nicola Walker. In the first series, especially, we see a late 40s woman running a farm, having a drunken sex life, dealing with the marriage of her dad to a nightmare Daily Mail reader, providing councilling to all around her but getting very little support back - in short, a fully rounded character with strengths and weaknesses. This is so rare! Usually 'mum' is a minor character in the background, with no character, opinions or storyline of her own. The stereotypes are so out-dated and frustrating. So Gillian is the role I'd love to play.

Which film got you hooked on film and why?

This may not showcase my parents in the best light but one of my first movie memories is Hitchcock’s ‘The Birds’. I was obsessed with the film and remember forcing my parents to watch it with me multiple days in a row. I think my love for cinema was sparked back then and I understood the importance of details and overall art in the arc of what makes a film brilliant.

One of the best pieces of TV that I've seen recently is Back to Life on BBC Three. My ideal genre to work in is comedy-drama and this show skilfully blends the darker aspects of life with dry, truthful comedy, making it so appealing to watch and makes me want to be a part of it. I'm drawn to character-led narratives where the protagonist is out of balance with her surroundings and all the other distinct, memorable people that populate the world, like in this series. I enjoy the thriller aspect of the show too which also manages to remain grounded with touching moments which are made even more poignant by the use of subtle humour.
