post production question about film score

I'm a first time feature writer/director in post production. Can someone tell me who actually edits and places music cues in a feature film? The composer or the film editor? My co…

I'd like to refine a few points, since Tom is right that it never works "ideally".
However I have to point out that the composers' role is often under-estimated and even though ap…

It's difficult to present storms at sea on film that actually provide the viewer with a proportionately accurate experience. For some reason gale force 8 always looks like a force…

cancellation for productions that don't happen?

Just wondering about cancellation agreement in the sense that you get paid as apposed to unpaid for film work that don't reach anywhere say £75 departmental average as a clause.

I'm not sure what you're asking, John. If you're talking about getting a job on a film, then the film falls through, that's pretty normal. Even on big films. Often it's because a …

I am very slow on FC anyway and was hoping the lightworks is more director friendly.. I have files that are on both iMovie as well as FC. What would I need to do? Thank you.

Try exporting EDL/OMF in FC, then importing that into Lightworks. I used Lightworks back in '93 I think it was. Freakin' love that system. I don't know if it's "director friendly"…
